1. Does renting a storage unit require a contract?
Yes, we require all tenants to sign a lease agreement which commits you to only one month at a time.
2. Do you require a credit card to rent a storage unit?
No, a credit card is not required. We accept cash, check, debit and most major credit cards.
3. Is your storage facility secure?
Our facility is fully enclosed with a security gate featuring computer controlled site entry and exit. Each time the gate is opened or a unit is accessed, it is recorded within our state-of-the-art security system. For added security, the property Manager lives on site.
4. Will I need my own lock?
Yes, you will need a lock to secure your storage unit. We sell high quality disc and regular padlocks but you are also welcome to use a lock you already own.
5. When do I have access to my storage unit?
All tenants have an access code for entry and exit from our facility. Gate hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week, 365 days a year.
6. How can I make a payment on my unit?
Your monthly rental payment will be due on the 1st day of every month and can be paid in our office during office hours, dropped through our payment slot or sent in by mail. We accept cash, checks, debit and most major credit cards. If you wish to pay with a credit card, you can take advantage of our “Auto Pay” feature and have your monthly rental payment automatically charged to your credit card each month.
7. Are my belongings in storage insured?
If you have Homeowner’s Insurance, it will usually cover your goods in storage. Please check with your insurance agent regarding your personal situation. If you wish to insure your belongings in storage, ask our Manager for information on Tenant Storage Insurance. Blue Bay Self Storage is NOT responsible for a tenant’s personal belongings. Your belongings are NOT insured by Blue Bay Self Storage.
